A local education institution in England is seeking an experienced Teacher to take on the role of Head of KS5. You will be responsible for leading the Sixth Form, providing both academic and pastoral support. The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status and possess strong leadership and behaviour management skills. Are you an aspirational leader with a passion for guiding young adults through the final stage of their school journey? We are seeking a dynamic Head of KS5 to lead our Sixth Form cohort, driving academic excellence and providing the crucial pastoral support students need as they prepare for university, apprenticeships, and the world of work. A secondary teacher of Maths, English or Science would be advantageous.

As Head of KS5, you will hold a pivotal role in shaping the culture of our Sixth Form. You will combine high‑quality teaching in your subject area with strategic pastoral leadership. This role is about more than just behaviour management; it is about fostering independence, resilience, and professional standards in young adults. You will monitor academic progress towards A-Level and vocational qualifications, intervene where students fall behind, and provide the emotional support necessary to help them navigate the pressures of exams and future planning.
The successful candidate must hold their QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and have experience of teaching within KS5.
