Job summary
A community service organization in the United Kingdom is looking for a Relief Centre Assistant. This role involves preparing, cooking, and serving food in a busy community environment while ensuring high standards of hygiene and quality. Candidates are expected to have a food preparation qualification or relevant experience. The position offers flexible working hours paid at £15.47 per hour, with additional allowances for unsocial hours.
Qualifications
- Food preparation qualification (NVQ 2 or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience of food preparation and service is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Help prepare, cook, and serve a range of foods and beverages.
- Maintain excellent standards of quality and hygiene.
- Assist with setting up and clearing down of function and meeting rooms.
Education
Hours are offered on an as and when required basis.
£15.47 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance).
A shift allowance will be paid for unsocial hours worked where appropriate.
We require Relief Centre Assistants to join our enthusiastic, committed team helping to prepare, cook and serve a range of foods and beverages offered within the Kirkwall Community Centre, while helping to maintain our excellent standards of quality and hygiene. You will also be required to help with the setting up and clearing down of function and meeting rooms.
- A food preparation qualification (NVQ 2 or equivalent) and/or experience of food preparation and service, are desirable.
