Overview

Are you a strong team player, friendly and motivated? Then we may have the role for you! Scarborough Hospital Catering Department requires enthusiastic Catering Operatives to work in all areas of the Catering Department mainly in the Main kitchen and may be asked to work Satellite Area and Dining Room of the Catering Department.

Qualifications

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible, in order to work variable hours, use initiative, be self‑motivated and have strong interpersonal and organisational/time management skills, work under pressure, prioritise workload and carry out physical tasks.

Responsibilities
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To
  • Delivering food trolleys to the ward areas
  • Serving in Pats Place
  • Delivering Function within the trust
  • Using ovens to regenerate food
  • Keeping the kitchen areas clean
  • Monitoring food temperatures as part of HACCP
  • Washing up and other general cleaning duties
  • The role also could involve working in other areas of the Catering Department
