A leading distribution business in Bridgwater is seeking an experienced HGV Tanker Driver for a 4 on 4 off schedule. The role involves delivering bulk liquid tankers across the UK and Europe, with tanker training provided. Applicants must hold a Class 1 licence and a valid DCPC Card. Abbey Logistics – A UK and European, Industry Leading, food and non-food tanker Distribution Business are seeking to recruit the following;
HGV TANKER DRIVER
4 on 4 off Tramper
- Based at our Bridgwater depot
- 4 on 4 off Tramping
- Tanker experience preferred
- Loading and unloading of Liquid Tanks
- Weekly pay
- Allocated unit
The role of an Abbey Logistics Class1 Tanker Driver is to safely and efficiently, deliver customer products using bulk liquid tankers throughout the UK and into Europe if required.
- Loading & Delivery of powder tankers to and from UK and European (if required) customer locations
- Working at heights
- Complying with all drivers’ hours and working time regulations
- Using a digital hand-held device to record all vehicle checks and delivery information
- Following customer and company guidelines and processes
- Hold a full LGV C+E (Class 1) licence for a minimum of 2 years (no more than 6 penalty points)
- Tanker work preferred but not essential as training will be given
- Must hold a valid and up to date DCPC Card
- Can safely operate within a fall arrest system of up to 140kgs

- 20 days inclusive of banks paid holiday based on 4 on 4 off
- Structured two-week training program
- Full DCPC in house training during your employment (online or face to face)
