A personal assistance service provider in Bristol is looking for a PA to support an individual with MS in daily tasks. Responsibilities include household chores, transportation for appointments, and outdoor leisure activities. The position requires a non-smoker with a car or driving license and an interest in healthy living. Flexible hours, typically 2-4 hours a week, are available based on mutual convenience.
PA/help for 59 yr guy with MS 17.50 ph negotiable in Nailsea - Bristol - BS48
58 yr guy needing help around house and accessing outdoors, I have MS so my mobility is challenged. Any mornings between 8.30 and 1 work for me; it's when I'm strongest and able to do stuff. I am still walking a little at home but use a manual chair at home and electric when out. Very sociable and capable. At the moment I try to be as independent as I can be at home but struggle with basics.
I need a car to assist with wheelchair or powerchair for trips/appointments.
I enjoy the outdoors, beaches, walking dogs (haven’t got one) but you are welcome to bring dogs. I have been indoors a lot due to my mobility and location.
I am an ex music industry rigger/stage builder/technician. I am looking for a good fit and long term 2-4 hrs a week. I have recently had my home adapted for wheelchair use, so I need fewer hours as I can cook myself etc. I have more energy in mornings, best time for me to be active/involved.
I play Xbox, watch films at home, cook good healthy food when able. Helping me cook meals (I can cook a little) would be great, but I might not be 100% some days so something we have cooked in the freezer always helps!
Someone who can fit in a little and add to my day would be great: general household chores, picking up prescriptions, taking me to appointments, and out to parks – Ashton Court, Clevedon Seafront, Sand Bay etc.
Times would be generally 9-10AM mid morning onwards 5-6 days as suits us. Non smoker only. A car or licence is essential/strong advantage; otherwise it’s taxis, which gets expensive for me. Also basic knowledge/interest in healthy lifestyle/nutrition. I love Indian/Mexican/Thai food—don't eat any junk or processed.
Payment to be adjusted according to skills and car use etc. I’m very fair and can pay on the day or weekly whatever suits you.
