Job summary

A leading water treatment company is seeking an Office Administrator on a temporary basis in Hattersley, Greater Manchester. The role involves managing daily office tasks, coordinating meetings, and supporting the Executive Assistant with various administrative responsibilities. Candidates should have strong IT skills, attention to detail, and prior administrative experience. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the office environment until February 2026, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage office tasks independently and efficiently.
  • Experience in an administrative role is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, scan, and file mail and manage postal requirements.
  • Oversee daily office tasks and maintain supplies.
  • Coordinate meetings and arrange lunches and venues.

Job description

MWH Treatment would like to strengthen their Business support team with an Office Administrator on a temporary basis, based in our Hattersley office. You’d play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our office and help the Executive Assistant (EA) with a variety of admin tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mail: Sorting, scanning, filing and franking mail, including postal runs to the local post office.
  • General Office: Oversee day‑to‑day tasks including coffee machine upkeep, creating office passes for new starters, maintaining and ordering office supplies, including groceries and stationery, and answering telephone professionally and courteously.
  • Courier: Arrange company‑wide courier services using Inxpress software.
  • Assistance: Help the EA with tasks such as expenses and time sheets for the senior leadership team.
  • Archiving: Managing and processing company archives.
  • Meetings: Coordinate meeting room bookings and order lunches for meetings and events as required, and book external meeting rooms when needed.
  • Additional Tasks: Performing other ad hoc duties as required such as running office events/charity days, ensuring the office environment remains clean, tidy, and well‑presented, and operating internal systems and software (training provided).

Contract

Contract: Temporary until 18th February 2026

Hours: 37.5 per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)

Location: Head Office, Hattersley, Greater Manchester
