Job summary
A leading scaffolding company in Sunderland seeks a skilled 360 Machine Driver/Groundworker to operate heavy machinery safely and support the installation of EV Charging stations. The role requires proven experience with excavators and forklifts, alongside strong communication skills and an emphasis on safety protocols. Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 Machine Driver/Groundworker to join a civils gang working 18 EV Charging stations in Sunderland.
- Operate 360-degree excavators and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on-site
- Load, unload, move, and position materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or dump trucks
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal functioning
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and logistical coordination as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding operational status and project requirements
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations at all times
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as 360 excavators, forklifts, dump trucks, or similar equipment
- Familiarity with commercial vehicle operation including tractor-trailers, box trucks, or tanker trucks is preferred
- Experience in warehouse operations, freight handling, or heavy haul transportation is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Prior experience in route driving, shuttle driving, or bus driving (including school bus or paratransit) is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
