Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 Machine Driver/Groundworker to join a civils gang working 18 EV Charging stations in Sunderland.

Responsibilities

• Operate 360-degree excavators and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on-site
• Load, unload, move, and position materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or dump trucks
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal functioning
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Assist with site preparation, material handling, and logistical coordination as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding operational status and project requirements
• Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety regulations at all times

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as 360 excavators, forklifts, dump trucks, or similar equipment
• Familiarity with commercial vehicle operation including tractor-trailers, box trucks, or tanker trucks is preferred
• Experience in warehouse operations, freight handling, or heavy haul transportation is advantageous
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Prior experience in route driving, shuttle driving, or bus driving (including school bus or paratransit) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
