You can play a crucial role in combining coaching excellence, operational oversight and external engagement to support the club’s strategic aims and enhance its reputation in the wider cricket community.

The main purpose of the role is to deliver an outstanding player development programme, leading, managing and developing players to progress into 1st XI cricket, ensuring a high-quality environment that enables both performance and personal growth. Additionally, to manage the full operation of the 2nd XI environment, developing a strong pipeline of players for the 1st XI squad, maintaining close links with the SCCC Pathway and regional partners, and delivering specialist support coaching where required.

To give you a snapshot of what this role involves, you will contribute to creating a high-performance environment that supports player development through innovative training sessions and specialist coaching. You’ll develop and implement individual performance plans, support the Men’s Head Coach, and contribute to player reviews to maintain elite standards and encourage high-performance behaviours.

You will be managing all team operations such as fixture logistics, match-day environment, and providing regular reports to senior management. You’ll promote safeguarding, inclusion, and high standards of conduct, ensure the protection of vulnerable groups while fostering an inclusive environment through role modelling and adherence to the club’s policies. Building strong relationships with regional stakeholders, partner counties, and representing the club at external meetings and events are also key responsibilities.

You will show initiative, flexibility, and adaptability, with a collaborative approach and a high level of emotional intelligence. The ability to make effective decisions under pressure, maintain an approachable manner, and be reflective and proactive with a can-do attitude are essential qualities. Additionally, you are an innovative thinker, willing to commit to self-development and growth, with the flexibility to adapt to varying working hours and patterns.

You will need to be eligible to work in the UK.

In return, you'll be joining a team who values everyone's contribution. You'll receive a competitive salary, access to health benefits and employee assistance programme, continued professional development support, free parking and more.
