Job summary
A local charity organization in the United Kingdom seeks Mentors and Befrienders to provide vital face-to-face support to disadvantaged young people aged 8–25. You'll help build their confidence and develop life skills, becoming a trusted role model. The role requires strong listening and interpersonal skills, with a commitment of 1-2 hours per week. Training and all expenses are covered.

Young people tell us they want to receive support from "non-professionals", people who are able to listen, understand, and be there for them because they want to help, not because they are paid to help.
Training, new skills, new friendships, and tremendous self worth when seeing the progress your young person is making. All expenses covered.
Befriending support to a young person in care is from one visit per month, for 2-3 hours.Mentoring support for a young person struggling with life issues is from 1-2 hours per week.
