Trainee Lifeguard
Job summary
A leading leisure company is seeking enthusiastic Trainee Lifeguards in Exmouth. The role involves ensuring a safe swimming environment, assisting guests, and learning essential lifeguard skills. No prior experience is required as training will be provided. Candidates should be swimmers and willing to work flexible hours including weekends. An Enhanced DBS check is mandatory before starting work. This is a great opportunity to join a fun and supportive team, making waves in leisure activities.
Qualifications
- Previous lifeguard experience is valued but not essential.

Responsibilities
- Learn how to handle pool safety and first aid.
- Monitor swimmers and respond to incidents promptly.

- Learn the lifeguard ropes; we’ll teach you how to handle everything from pool safety to first aid, so you’re ready for anything!
- You’ll keep an eye on swimmers, respond quickly to any incidents, and ensure a safe, fun environment for all.
- Spread the fun providing excellent customer service, assisting guests with inquiries and concerns.
- Previous lifeguard experience is valued but not essential; we provide training.
- Ready to learn, stay alert and respond confidently in any situation.
- Friendly and approachable attitude with good communication skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Jump/dive into deep water.
- Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds.
- Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water.
- Tread water for 30 seconds.
- Surface dive to the floor of the pool.
- Climb out unaided without a ladder or steps and where the pool design permits.
This opportunity requires the new candidate to undergo, and satisfactorily complete, an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
