What does the role involve?
- Achieve a high standard of care.
- Lead the care team to deliver positive outcomes for residents.
- Maintain effective verbal and written communication, including accurate reporting on residents and informing the senior care team of daily changes.
- Ensure care procedures are carried out according to policy.
- Be responsible for ordering, administering, and recording medicines according to policy and statutory requirements.
- Provide personal care for residents, such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Offer physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort.
- Conduct staff supervision and appraisals within the allocated team or unit.
- Implement routine and procedural changes as agreed with the Manager.
- Assess prospective clients/residents.
- Complete duty rotas as necessary.
- Carry out internal quality audits as agreed with the Manager.
- Participate in the training and development of all staff grades.
- Assist the Manager in working within the budget, mainly as Deputy Manager responsibilities.
