Job summary
A growing family-run garage in the UK is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team. This full-time role involves performing maintenance and repairs on commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with VOSA standards. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The position offers competitive hourly pay, overtime opportunities, and various employee benefits in a supportive work environment.

Skills
Job Type: Full-time | Pay: £18.50–£21.00/hour (plus overtime)
Hours: 40–50 per week | Day Shifts | Monday to Friday

- Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles and trailers to VOSA standards
- Handle a variety of running repairs and defect rectifications
- Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic tools
- Complete job cards and service sheets accurately and efficiently

- HGV driving licence is a bonus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competitive hourly pay: £18.50–£21.00, based on experience
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates:
- Time + 1/3 after 40 hours
- Time + 1/2 after 45 hours
- Attendance bonus scheme

- Flexible working hours negotiable
