A leading educational service in the United Kingdom is seeking a passionate SENCo to join their team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will coordinate SEND provision, work collaboratively with mainstream SENCOs, and support students with SEMH and EBSA challenges. Chances are seeking a passionate and pragmatic SENCo to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a unique opportunity to shape SEND provision within an alternative provision that prioritises early intervention, reintegration and wellbeing.
We are at a pivotal moment in the development of Chances and the ideal candidate will have the passion, expertise, drive and vision to help us shape the future of SEND delivery to ensure that all students receive the very best support
The SENCo will work across both models of the school:
This role is ideal for someone who values partnership, understands SEMH and EBSA, and wants to make a meaningful difference.
The successful candidate will maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding risks, complete all safeguarding training, follow school safeguarding policy and procedure, and work with external agencies as required to promote the safety and welfare of students.
There will be the potential for some teaching responsibilities alongside the role of SENCo.
Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
National SENCo Award
Experience supporting students with SEMH and/or EBSA
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively across schools and agencies
Organised, reflective and solution-focused
ICT literate
Experience in alternative provision or outreach models
Experience of EHCP processes
