An educational organization in Wisbech is seeking an Assistant SENDCo to support the learning and emotional wellbeing of pupils with special educational needs. We are seeking a truly special individual to join our team at Begdale as an Assistant SENDCo — someone who brings warmth, care and calm, alongside strong professional knowledge and a passion for inclusive education.
Begdale School are looking for someone who can offer reassurance, structure and kindness, while quietly and confidently ensuring that everything runs smoothly for our pupils with SEN.
This is a role for someone who believes that children flourish when they feel safe, understood and valued, and who can balance compassion with high expectations.
You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing and personal development, working closely with the SENDCo, SLT, staff, families and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
We are a small school which effectively supports children through their educational journey. Our pupils may have previously experienced significant and prolonged periods of disengagement and/or disaffection in their education.
This may have impacted negatively upon their previous levels of achievement and motivation to succeed at school. We are committed to making sure that all pupils learn and are engaged in a meaningful and worthwhile education, which provides them with the means to enjoy achievement, success, and increased independence.
