About WorkBuzz

WorkBuzz helps organisations thrive through change by bringing clarity without complexity to how they listen, learn, and act.

Our AI‑powered platform makes it easy for mid and large‑sized companies to gather real‑time employee feedback, uncover what truly matters, and focus on the actions that drive engagement, performance and retention. Trusted across industries, we combine smart technology with a human approach – helping leaders make better decisions, faster.

With £12.5m funding raised and growing quickly, WorkBuzz is shaping the future of employee listening, and we’re looking for mission‑driven people to join us!

The role

This is a hands‑on role, working closely with senior leadership to turn complex financial and operational data into clear insights that inform strategic decisions. From investor reporting and performance analysis to forecasting and budgeting, you’ll play a key role in helping the business understand where it’s winning, where we could do better and what to do next. You’ll have visibility across the entire organisation and the opportunity to influence how we scale.

We’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, intellectually curious and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment. You enjoy getting into the detail but can also step back and explain the “so what” to non‑finance stakeholders. You’ll be proactive, collaborative and motivated by building better ways of working, whether that’s improving processes, strengthening controls or helping teams understand the financial impact of their decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand SaaS KPIs, analyse financial and business data, draw accurate conclusions and make sound recommendations
  • Provide insightful analysis of company performance for reporting to investors and C‑suite
  • Partner with marketing, engineering and customer success teams to understand and report variances to budget
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budget, providing insights to help drive operational efficiency
  • Monitor and assess industry trends and communicate findings to management
  • Review financial statements and provide guidance on financial reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the month‑end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations and accruals
  • Manage business‑wide software spend and supplier compliance.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to drive efficiencies and scalability
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures and assist in the preparation of audits and due diligence requirements

Requirements / About you

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent), exceptional part‑qualified candidates will be considered.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting or audit, ideally within a SaaS or tech business
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A great communicator – the wider team don’t always speak credits and debits!
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel modelling
  • Familiarity with Xero and Bob Finance (Mosaic) or similar tools
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • A collaborative team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves
  • A growth mindset, with the drive to contribute ideas, make an impact and develop professionally
  • Naturally curious and willing to challenge assumptions and existing ways of working
