A well-established and growing international organisation operating within the environmental and sustainability sector is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join its internal IT function. The business supports multi-site operations and is continuing to scale globally, with IT playing a key role in enabling growth, security, and operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on 1st and 2nd line IT Support position, supporting end users, systems, and infrastructure across multiple locations. You will work closely with external IT partners and internal stakeholders, providing day-to-day support while contributing to ongoing projects, compliance initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Deliver first- and second-line IT support to users across the organisation.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals.
Monitor system performance and complete routine maintenance tasks.
Manage onboarding and offboarding, including secure device setup and data handover.
Maintain LAN/WAN connectivity, firewalls, VPNs, and internet services.
Administer Microsoft 365, including Intune, Entra ID, and BitLocker.
Oversee backups, patching, updates, and cybersecurity controls.
Support secure and resilient IT operations across all sites.
Maintain accurate ticketing records, documentation, and audit evidence.
Manage IT asset registers and software licensing.
Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, GDPR, and security standards.
Act as the internal point of contact with MSPs and third-party vendors.
Support IT-related projects, including business systems and platforms.
Assist with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials audits and staff awareness activities.
Create simple user guides and deliver basic IT training.
Proactively identify improvements to systems, processes, and security posture.
Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years' experience in a similar IT support or infrastructure-focused role.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and IT security fundamentals.
Experience supporting networks, endpoints, and remote users.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Comfortable working independently in a multi-site environment.
Exposure to ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials is desirable.
IT certifications are advantageous.
Clean driving licence and passport preferred; occasional travel required.
