Job description
Overview

This hybrid IT Manager role requires a 3x per week presence at our Northern Ireland HQ in Derry/Londonderry. You will lead IT operations across six European offices, supporting approximately 270 employees.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the IT support team, including in‑house staff and outsourced partners, ensuring high‑quality service and timely issue resolution.
  • Act as senior escalation point for complex technical and security incidents across networks, audio‑visual systems, servers, end‑user devices, and collaboration tools.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune and related Microsoft ecosystems for user and device management, including onboarding, off‑boarding and device provisioning.
  • Maintain asset management across all offices and implement endpoint protection, patch management, and backup procedures.
  • Advise and implement IT security best practices to protect employees and customers, supporting ISO 27001, GDPR, and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance.
  • Define and own the 12‑month IT roadmap, managing budgets, hardware refreshes, office network upgrades, system rollouts, and vendor relationships.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff, documenting IT processes and enhancing knowledge sharing.
  • Travel occasionally to European offices to support local IT operations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing IT operations in a multi‑site environment of 150+ users.
  • Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, networking, endpoint management, and Windows/Mac device troubleshooting.
  • Hands‑on experience with IT service desk, ticketing, and ITIL processes.
  • Knowledge of IT security practices and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials).
  • Excellent communication, people management, and ability to balance hands‑on support with team leadership.
  • Desired: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent; ITIL certification; additional Microsoft, CompTIA, or Cisco certifications.
