A local council in Welwyn is seeking a proactive individual to manage services and engage with the community. This full-time role offers a starting salary of £35,412 with outstanding benefits, including pension enrollment. Ideal candidates will have strong organisational skills and a motivation to innovate within local government. Those with an understanding of local authority dynamics are preferred, with training and a chance to earn a professional certificate available. Evening work may be required for meetings and events.
Salary: SCP 24-28 within grade LC2 (Salary starting SCP 24 – £35,412) Full-time (37 hours per week)
Welwyn Parish Council is a forward-thinking and pro-active Council at the centre of a thriving local community. The Council currently holds the Local Council Award Scheme Foundation Level and is working to produce both a Neighbourhood Plan and a Climate Emergency Action Plan.
The successful applicant will be based at the Council Offices, Lockleys Drive, Welwyn, AL6 9NT. Some evenings and weekends may be required to facilitate meetings and events.
