Job summary
A regional healthcare provider in Rochester is seeking a Patient Representative to assist providers and support patient encounters. This role involves managing clerical duties, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and collaborating with teams to enhance service quality. Ideal candidates should have experience in an outpatient medical office, knowledge of electronic health records, and formal education beyond high school. Competitive hourly pay is offered for per diem hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year recent outpatient medical office experience.
- Knowledge in electronic health record (EHR / EMR) usage and medical terminology.
- Advanced technical training and/or certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers by supporting patient encounters and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Manage clerical tasks such as scheduling, referrals, and phone communication.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with management on operations and process improvements.
