Job Title: Children Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team (Full Time)
Location: Cambridge, UK (Hybrid Working – 2/3 Days in Office, Huntingdon Cambridgeshire)
Salary: £39.00 – £40.52 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Type: Locum, Full-Time, Ongoing

Join us as a Children Social Worker within our Family Safeguarding Team in Cambridge, where you’ll earn up to £40.52 per hour in a full-time, ongoing position. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, allowing you to balance time between the office and home. • Conduct statutory visits for Children in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC).
• Chair CIN and Core Group Meetings, ensuring clear communication and planning.
• Manage caseloads including CIN, CP, and CIC cases, including some in Pre‑Proceedings (PLO) and S31 Care Proceedings.
• Prepare and complete Court Reports, Risk Assessments, and Parenting Assessments.
• Attend court hearings with the support of Senior Practitioners or Team Managers.
• Participate in the Duty Rota to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Attend and prepare reports for Initial Child Protection Conferences (ICPC) and Review Child Protection Conferences (RCPC).
• Assess and manage risk effectively, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children.

• Applicants must have court experience and previous work within a Family Safeguarding Team.
• A completed DfE cover letter must be attached with your CV.
• CVs should clearly state whether roles were permanent or locum, as only three CVs per agency will be accepted.
• Direct submissions are not permitted.
