Join to apply for the Catering Assistant role at Aspris.

We are looking for passionate people who can support the provision of the catering operation by assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene, promoting healthy eating, and contributing to the wellbeing of our children and young people.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the cook with preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with Company policies.
  • Take responsibility for parts of the catering operation under direction.
  • Ensure kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards.
  • Prepare the lunch service for students and staff, maintain the dining room, and clear away.
  • Interact well with young people and create engaging visual displays about food, nutrition, culture, and traditions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience in catering is advantageous but not essential.
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening, including DBS checks and at least 2 recent references.
  • Positive team player with a can‑do attitude and commitment to high standards.

About The School

Fromefield Manor School is a new SEN school (opened September 2024) located in central Frome, Somerset. It is a special school for up to 30 pupils, aged 11‑19, who have a diagnosis of autism with associated complex needs. The school offers a total communication approach and bespoke timetables to support individual learning goals.
