You must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Pay: £27,560 per annum, based on experience (40 hours per week).

The focus is on children’s interests; an adult helping hand is provided to promote extended learning and support development. The nursery is located on Devon Square in the centre of Newton Abbot, making it wonderfully central and only a short walk from the train station.

• Leading and mentoring the team to provide high-quality early years education with passion and energy.
• Supporting the Nursery Manager to ensure smooth nursery operations and consistent quality.
• Acting as a role model by promoting initiative, creativity, and high standards of care.
• Building strong relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies to support the best outcomes for children.
• Overseeing the team’s implementation of the EYFS framework, ensuring engaging learning opportunities.
• Taking charge of nursery operations in the Nursery Manager’s absence.
• Encouraging continuous improvement through feedback and supporting professional development.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that meets each child’s needs.
