Location: Preston
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Pay Rate: £23 LTD per hour
About the Role: We are looking for Recovery Workers to join a dynamic Substance Misuse Service. You will support service users throughout their treatment and recovery journey, helping them reduce harm and reintegrate into the community.
- Support service users from entry into the service through their recovery journey
- Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning, and onward referral
- Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community
- Promote carer, service user, and community involvement
- Advocate for access to partnership services
- Deliver structured group sessions and workshops tailored to service user needs (e.g., anger management, sleep disorders, relationships)
- Engage in debriefing and evaluations after group sessions
- Support social reintegration, resilience, peer support, and self-determination
- Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience in a similar field
- Experience delivering group sessions and managing group dynamics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good IT proficiency
- Proactive, able to work independently with strong time management skills
- Knowledge of mental health interventions and best practice
- Ability to work collaboratively with professionals, agencies, and stakeholders
