Job summary
A non-profit organization in Bristol seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in a residential program. Candidates must have a high school diploma and preferably have experience working with people with disabilities. The positions offer full-time and part-time schedules, and applicants must have a safe driving record and pass criminal background checks.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One year experience working with people with disabilities and their families preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass criminal background checks.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance and support services to individuals with disabilities.
- Report directly to the Team Supervisor for support and supervision.
Skills
Education
Direct Support Professionals provide direct assistance and support services to address the needs of individuals with disabilities in a residential program at The Arc of Bristol County dba proAbility, a non-profit which serves communities in RI and MA. The Direct Support Professional reports directly to and receives weekly and/or as needed support and supervision from their Team Supervisor and/or supervisor.

- #1505 – Sunday-Thursday 8:00am-3:00pm, 35 hrs/wk
- #1518 – Sunday 8:00am-3:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-3:00pm, 14 hrs/wk
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required
- At least 18 years of age
- One year experience working with people with disabilities and their families preferred
- Safe driving record, current driver’s license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to successfully pass criminal background checks
