Pay: $35/hour
RN needed for young man living in Middleboro, with complex medical needs. Looking for approx. 12 hours per week to provide nursing support at home and in the community.
Job Responsibilities
This position reports directly to and receives support and supervision from designated Family Support Coordinator.
- Administer all medication(s) and medical treatment(s) needed during the supported individual’s hours of support
- Provide as appropriate the services of a liaison to doctors, hospitals, and other support services
- Monitor supported individual’s health status
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all team members including supported individual, family, and supervisor
- Implement goals as stated in individual’s Support Plan
- Treat individual/family with dignity and respect
- Support individual in increasing or maintaining independence within their homes or communities
- Uphold human rights
- Support individual in achieving and maintaining personal well-being and safety
- Provide transportation as needed
- Respect the individual/family’s cultural norms
- Provide reliable and appropriate service to individual and family
- Assists individual to further their social and communication skills; and to participate in activities/events of their choice
- Complete required documentation and reporting
- Maintain required certifications (RN licensure, CPR/AED, and First Aid) and complete mandatory agency trainings
- Adhere to policies/ procedures
- All other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- RN licensure in the state of MA
- Minimum of two years equivalent work experience directly related to aforementioned duties and responsibilities strongly preferred
- Knowledge of community system serving individuals with disabilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing care
- A safe driving record, current driver’s license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required
