Responsibilities
- Ensure the effective preparation of sterile consumables by decontamination and inspection.
- Check, wash, assemble, and pack sets of theatre instruments to meet specifications.
- Safely operate and monitor decontamination machines and equipment.
- Record repairs and missing instruments on the Tracking and Traceability computer system.
- Return repaired instruments or equipment to stock appropriately.

About You

12 weeks of full-time training on Monday-Friday at 8:00-16:00. Then, move to full-time permanent shift: Tue-Fri 07:00-15:00, Sat 12:20:00
- Ensuring the effective preparation of sterile consumables (dressings, linen, instruments, and equipment) by the process of decontamination, inspection assembly and packing within predefined quality standards.
- Rigorously checking, washing, laying up and packing sets of theatre instruments to meet contract specifications within predefined quality standards.
- Safely operating and monitoring machines and equipment (washer/disinfectors, ultrasonic and sterilisers) effectively.
- Ensuring that repairs and missing instruments or equipment are recorded and logged on the Tracking and Traceability computer system (SynergyTrak).
- Ensuring that repaired instruments or equipment are returned to stock or the appropriate coded sets or the Trust’s appointed person.
- An annual salary of £24,465
