Oncology Marketing Undergraduate – 3 roles

Position Overview

The Oncology business unit in Pfizer is dedicated to developing innovative cancer medicines and biosimilars, with a focus on Breast, Lung, Renal, and Urological cancers. The UK marketing team is an essential part of this unit, developing brand strategy and marketing programmes in close partnership with medical and sales colleagues to improve patient outcomes.

Who can apply?

Applicants must be completing a placement as part of a degree course at a UK university, either through Year in Industry (Industrial Placement) or a Gap Year.

Applicants must complete the Pfizer Placement Application Form. Candidates who do not attach the completed form will not be considered.

What can I achieve and what will I be accountable for whilst completing a placement at Pfizer?

  • Deliver brand plans for 2026‑2027.
  • Manage marketing materials in the Global Content Management System (GCMA).
  • Support the marketing and omnichannel team in developing content and delivering digital journey activities.
  • Contribute to the design of materials for healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Gather insights on the market environment for Pfizer’s medicines portfolio.
  • Understand the ABPI code and promote compliance improvements within the Oncology BU.
  • Communicate internally and work collaboratively with colleagues from many functions.
  • Participate in cross‑business‑unit projects to support Pfizer’s Corporate Responsibility and broaden industry understanding.

The role will also allow you to build relationships across sales, marketing, medical affairs, training, and global marketing teams, providing leadership, education and a deep comprehension of drug development and commercialization.

Start Date

Placements begin on 1st September 2026 and will run for 12 months.

Person Specification

  • Complete placement as part of a degree (Year in Industry or Gap Year).
  • Life science or business‑related degree.
  • Interest in cancer medicines (helpful).
  • Interest in marketing & AI (preferred).
  • Good time/project management skills.
  • Self‑starter with initiative and openness to support.
  • Strong social skills and effective communication.
  • Interest in digital technology for communication.
