Job summary
An international development organization is looking for a Social Media Volunteer to help enhance their online presence and storytelling efforts. This role involves planning social media content, validating project showcases, and strategizing for greater awareness and engagement. Ideal candidates should have over three years of experience in social media management, strong communication skills, and a passion for international development. This position is fully remote and requires a few hours a week.

We\u2019re looking for a passionate Social Media Volunteer to help tell our story and spread the impact of our work far and wide. We work to improve the quality of life of remote, rural communities in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Your input will shape how we present ourselves to our stakeholders, funders and the general public. Working as part of a motivated and warm-hearted team, with your help we will be able to spread knowledge of our work and attract more supporters and volunteers to our cause. You will contribute to providing a better life for many thousands of people.
It would be great if you enjoy writing and have at least three years experience of using social media professionally. You will have strong communication skills, a creative eye for visuals and storytelling, and a passion for international development.
This is work for someone who really wants to make a difference and is able to volunteer remotely for a few hours a week.
We work to improve the lives of former cocoa farmers, now hit by climate change, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. We provide them with clean water, healthcare, improved education and training with a view to them finding alternative sources of income, mainly through farming.
Your role will include planning and scheduling engaging posts across Facebook, Instagram and Linked In; checking and validating existing content that showcases our projects and community impact; and shaping our social media strategy to boost awareness, followers, donations and volunteers.
