Job summary
A leading digital work execution platform provider is seeking a Principal Engineer (Platform) to lead their technical vision and strategy. This role involves designing scalable infrastructure, providing technical leadership, and mentoring engineering teams. Ideal candidates have extensive experience in cloud-native architectures and a proven track record in large-scale systems. This position is remote in the UK.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience.
- At least 3 years in a senior/principal-level role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures (AWS / GCP / Azure).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the technical architecture for scalable platforms.
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
- Lead initiatives in infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment.
- Design systems for cloud scalability and high availability.
- Drive adoption of monitoring and observability frameworks.
- Implement platform security best practices.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align platform services.
- Develop and coach senior engineers.
