We have invested in leading channels such as fern and Simplicissimus, with 4 and 2.5 million subscribers respectively. Having received national and international recognition—including the DAfFNE award, Environmental Media Award, NYT TV & Film award, and nominations for the Rudolf Diesel medal and the German Television Award—our focus remains on investigative research, video essays, and documentaries for a curious, engaged audience.

We are launching a new Spanish‑language channel that will bring fern’s unique storytelling and journalistic quality to a broader global audience. We are looking for a Video Editor & Motion Designer (Freelancer) who will adapt our English originals into high‑quality Spanish adaptations.

• Edit and adapt existing English videos for the Spanish‑language channel.
• Replace voice‑overs with Spanish narration in collaboration with translators and voice talent.
• Translate and adjust on‑screen text, titles, and 2‑D motion design elements.
• Adapt animations, lower thirds, and graphics to ensure clarity and stylistic consistency in Spanish.
• Add or modify scenes to enhance cultural relevance and audience connection.
• Ensure storytelling rhythm, tone, and emotional impact align with Spanish‑speaking audience expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality, visually coherent videos that match the brand identity of fern.
• Manage feedback loops efficiently and meet project deadlines.

• Proven experience in video editing and motion design.
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Excellent storytelling skills with an eye for pacing, emotion, and visual rhythm.
• Ability to translate and integrate 2‑D motion graphics and titles accurately.
• Native or fluent Spanish speaker, with good English skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Passion for journalistic and documentary storytelling.

• Experience in localization or adapting video content for different languages and audiences.
• Experience with project‑management tools such as Monday.com.
