We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nursery Apprentice to join our team in Peterborough and support our mission of delivering outstanding childcare and education.

The Nursery Apprentice plays a vital role in assisting our qualified team with the day-to-day care and education of children aged from birth to five years. This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while working towards recognised qualifications in early years education and childcare.

• Support the nursery team in delivering high-quality care and education in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development.
• Ensure the safety, welfare and well-being of all children at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
• Observe and record children’s progress and share feedback with senior staff and parents as required.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
• Participate in training and development opportunities as part of the apprenticeship programme.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures including safeguarding and confidentiality.

• Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths preferred or willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Reliability, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills through the apprenticeship programme.
• Awareness of safeguarding responsibilities or willingness to undertake training.

• Competitive hourly wage of £7.55 per hour in line with apprenticeship standards.
