An inclusive leisure centre in Bristol is seeking an experienced HR Manager to build the workforce and culture for the first fully inclusive leisure centre for disabled children. The role involves leading HR activities, implementing policies, and supporting managers with employee relations in a hands-on and strategic manner. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UK employment law, experience in recruitment, and a genuine alignment with the centre's mission and values. Competitive salary and opportunities for development are offered.
Up to £50,000 | Full-time or 4 days per week (reduced hours)
This is not a “keep the policies ticking over” HR role. Gympanzees is building something the UK has never seen before – the first fully inclusive leisure, exercise and play centre for disabled children and young people (0–25) and their families.
And we’re looking for an HR Manager to help build the people, culture and systems that will bring it to life.
You’ll be joining at a pivotal moment. Pre-launch, you’ll shape the workforce, systems and culture. Post‑launch, you’ll be the go‑to HR lead supporting a diverse, values‑driven team delivering real impact every single day.
This is a hands‑on, senior HR role where you’ll combine strategy with delivery – working closely with the CEO, COO and Centre Manager to build a supportive, inclusive and high‑performing organisation.
You’ll likely be someone who:
Experience in charity, leisure, hospitality, education or people‑centred environments is a plus, but mindset and values matter most.
