We are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated catering team at Caldicot School. This is a fixed-term position until 22nd May 2026, working Monday to Friday during term time — ideal for someone seeking a great work/life balance.
As a key part of our school canteen service, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent food and customer service to pupils and staff.
- Assisting with the preparation and serving of food in a busy canteen environment
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
- Providing excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner
- Supporting the catering manager and wider team during busy service periods
- Helping ensure allergen procedures and health and safety standards are met
- Previous experience in catering, food service, or retail (desirable but not essential)
- Knowledge of high-volume food production and allergen management
- A positive, proactive approach and ability to work well in a team
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards
- A friendly, professional attitude and willingness to learn
