About Us at GoCardless

GoCardless is a global bank payment company. Over 100,000 businesses, from start‑ups to household names, use GoCardless to collect and send payments through direct debit, real‑time payments and open banking.

GoCardless processes US$130bn+ of payments annually, across 30+ countries; helping customers collect and send both recurring and one‑off payments, without the chasing, stress or expensive fees. We use AI‑powered solutions to improve payment success and reduce fraud. With open banking connectivity to over 2,500 banks, we help our customers make faster, more informed decisions.

We are headquartered in the UK with offices in London and Leeds, and additional locations in Australia, France, Ireland, Latvia, Portugal and the United States.

At GoCardless, we’re all about supporting you! We’re committed to making our hiring process inclusive and accessible. If you need extra support or adjustments, reach out to your Talent Partner—we’re here to help!

And remember: we don’t expect you to meet every single requirement. If you’re excited by this role, we encourage you to apply!

The role

GoCardless is on a mission to build simple and secure bank payment solutions for people and businesses everywhere. We’re transforming how businesses manage payments, and we’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager on a 12‑Month FTC who can help bring new innovations to market and drive adoption at scale.

You will join our Bank Payments Network Group (BPNG), working on payment solutions that help businesses send disbursements and optimise cashflow. You’ll be at the heart of scaling current products and features like Same Day Settlement, and identifying new ways businesses can improve liquidity through better access to capital and integrated FX.

You’ll work closely with product development and go‑to‑market teams, turning complex payment innovations into clear value propositions. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract position, and a rare opportunity to shape category‑defining products and features in a fast‑moving fintech environment.

What excites you
  • Launching solutions that solve customer pain points – You’ll help define and drive the GTM launch of new cashflow products and features, and, more importantly, the business impact that follows.
  • Being the bridge between technical and commercial – You’ll work confidently with product managers on technical nuances while translating those into compelling commercial narratives for sales and customer success teams.
  • Digging into the data and the customer voice – You’ll use both quantitative and qualitative customer research to uncover insights that shape product strategy, establish the commercial foundation, and deliver compelling propositions.
  • Working cross‑functionally on complex problems – You’ll collaborate across product development, commercial strategy, sales, customer success and marketing to launch and scale. You enjoy the complexity of B2B payments and the challenge of making sophisticated products feel simple and essential.
  • Owning outcomes, not just outputs – You measure success by adoption rates and business impact. You’re energized by seeing your work drive real results and you’re not afraid to iterate and optimise based on what the data tells you.
What excites us
  • B2B product marketing experience – You’ve launched products and know how to position complex solutions for business buyers, manage sales cycles, and create clear ROI messaging.
  • Storytelling with customer empathy – You’re a natural storyteller who crafts compelling narratives that resonate with buyers. You put customer problems at the heart of your work and can translate complex payment innovations into clear value propositions.
  • Data‑driven decision making – You’re comfortable with analytics tools, tracking KPIs, and using data insights to inform product positioning and GTM strategy.
  • Sales enablement expertise – You’ve created training materials, pitch decks, battle cards, case studies, and sales collateral that empower commercial teams to effectively sell complex B2B products.
  • Technical translation skills – You can grasp complex payment concepts and explain them clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Competitive intelligence – You stay on top of the competitive landscape, understand how competitors position themselves, and can clearly articulate differentiation.
  • Track record of driving adoption and impact – You don’t consider a launch finished when the product ships. You’ve owned the full lifecycle through to scaled adoption with metrics to prove it.
  • Payments or fintech experience (nice to have) – Understanding the payments landscape will help you hit the ground running.

Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid‑point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.

The Good Stuff!
  • Wellbeing: Dedicated support and medical cover to keep you healthy.
  • Work Away Scheme: Work from anywhere for up to 90 days in any 12‑month period.
  • Hybrid Working: Our hybrid model offers flexibility, with in‑office days determined by your team.
  • Equity: All permanently employed GeeCees get equity to share in our success.
  • Parental leave: Tailored leave to support your life's great adventure.
  • Time Off: Generous holidays, 3 volunteer days, and 4 wellness days annually.
