The Role

As a Key Account Business Development Representative, you will focus on identifying, engaging, and qualifying high‑value prospects within larger, strategic, and enterprise‑level accounts. Your work will be instrumental in building pipelines for Account Executives who focus on high‑impact opportunities.

This role combines proactive strategic prospecting with strong collaboration and administrative support for Account Executives ensuring seamless handoff, documentation accuracy, and deal progression. When appropriate, you may also close smaller or fast‑cycle opportunities within key accounts directly over the phone.

What do we want to achieve together?
  • Pipeline Development & Collaboration
  • Set high‑quality meetings & demos: Partner closely with Account Executives to book strategic discovery calls and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Support Account Executives: Assist with documentation, proposal preparation, follow‑up materials, and key account research to advance deals.
  • Opportunity support: Engage with multiple stakeholders and departments within key accounts to help drive consensus and progression.
  • Deal Advancement
  • Close suitable opportunities: Handle and close smaller or short‑cycle deals within your assigned strategic segment when appropriate.
  • Maintain CRM excellence: Keep detailed, accurate, and timely records of outreach, interactions, and pipeline stages.
  • Contribute insights: Provide feedback to Marketing and Sales on messaging effectiveness, key account trends, and campaign performance.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Deepen product and industry knowledge: Articulate our value proposition effectively to enterprise‑level prospects.
  • Participate in team strategy meetings: Share insights from your key account outreach and contribute to improving our go‑to‑market approach.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
  • 2+ years in business development, telesales, sales, or customer‑facing roles (experience with larger accounts or SaaS is a strong plus). Demonstrated success in a fast‑paced, high‑activity environment.
  • Strong organization skillsExceptional communication skills with a professional and confident phone presence.
  • Ability to build credibility with senior level decision makers.
  • Self‑motivated, target‑oriented, and resilient in the face of rejection.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, especially for long‑cycle or multi‑stakeholder pipelines.
