The Corporate Engagement (CE) team, one of three business units in the Impact Finance & Markets Division, provides technical leadership to translate the value of nature and conservation into actionable and standards-aligned strategies for companies across the world.

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Senior Corporate Engagement Associate, Investment Engagement to help lead corporate and investor engagement efforts and manage high-priority collaborations with Financial Institutions. You will perform risk management and conflict management, as well as collaboratively solve complex problems. You will utilize project management methodologies and processes and ensure all organizational and divisional standards are met. In addition to leading collaborations, a portion of your time will be dedicated to advancing initiatives, including capacity building with banks and asset managers, that align financial flows with nature-positive outcomes in commodity-linked sectors, particularly those associated with deforestation and ecosystem conversion.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

  • Develops strategic partnerships with relevant groups to lead engagement strategies with financial institutions, investor forums, and corporate actors to promote nature-positive approaches in agricultural supply chains.
  • Serves as team leader for assigned projects and coordinate the work of others, including managing and implementing complex projects, including setting project timelines, managing project teams, developing and managing project budgets, supporting deliverables, and communicating to stakeholders with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Lead or co-lead coordination of meetings, workshops, and webinars with corporate and civil society partners.
  • Collaborate across internal teams (science, policy, regional) to ensure alignment and integration of nature-related priorities.
  • May manage or participate in complex negotiations.
  • Develop and deliver tailored messaging and materials for external stakeholders, including senior leadership and partners.
  • Manage relationships and outreach efforts with key financial sector actors and NGO collaborators.
  • Monitor and report on engagement outcomes, market trends, and policy developments related to sustainable finance and deforestation-free investment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental policy, finance, business, political science, international development or a related field and 4years of experience in corporate engagement, sustainable finance, ESG, or conservation, or equivalent combination.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience engaging with financial institutions or investor networks.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and directing multiple complex projects and ensuring program accountability.
  • Experience working with corporate or NGO partners.
  • Communications experience including preparing and presenting project proposals.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced, remote team environment.
  • Experience using project management techniques and tools.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (e.g., TNFD, SBTN, ESG reporting).
  • Understanding of nature-related risks, deforestation-free finance, or commodity-linked sustainability issues.
