We are currently looking to recruit a full time enthusiastic and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist, to join the Peterborough Community Rehabilitation Team based at Botolph Bridge Community Health Centre, Valley Park Centre, Sugar Way, Peterborough, PE2 9QB. The role is suitable for an experienced OT.
This role is based in Peterborough and the surrounding area. You would be working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality rehabilitation to patients with physical disabilities in their home environment.
Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. Please confirm in your application that you meet the specified criteria.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is able to work as an autonomous practitioner within the Community Rehab team to provide a high standard of care to our patients.
Your role will include assessing, planning and developing specialist occupational therapist programmes for patients with a wide variety of complex needs.
You will be responsible for your own caseload, prioritising referrals according to clinical need, signposting appropriately and undertaking assessment of patients with complex and multiple pathologies using, specialist clinical reasoning skills.
Your role will also include supervision of junior staff and students, overseeing patient intervention and ensuring that Senior Therapy Assistants and Therapy Assistants deliver high quality patient care.
