Lecturer – English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL)

Salary: £26,389 - £51,930

Hours: 37 hours per week

The School of Services to People is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated lecturer to join its ESOL team.

Applicants must have teaching and assessing experience in ESOL, and understand the variety of learners’ circumstances on ESOL programmes. Ideally applicants will have experience delivering Entry 1 to Level 1 qualifications, providing pastoral support for learners, and utilising digital technologies in delivery and assessment. You should also hold a teaching qualification, or be prepared to obtain one within a specified time scale.

Skills in teamwork as well as working on own initiative, motivating and inspiring learners, developing a learner focused curriculum and the ability to continually improve the learning experience will be essential.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.

Lecturing posts will require a teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or the willingness to attain one with a specified period of time. This will be a requirement under your contract of employment and EWC registration.
