Are you an empathetic and caring individual looking for a career in supporting victims and witnesses of crime? Our Victim Services Department is recruiting Victim and Witness Care officers to help guide those affected by crime through their criminal justice journey. The role is hybrid and offers excellent learning opportunities for those who want to progress in this area of work and policing.
As a Victim Care Officer you will contact victims of crime and anti‑social behaviour to ensure victims receive the support and information they require, such as information on support services and information around their entitlements under the Victims Code of Practice.
A Victim Care Officer will ensure a victim is kept informed about criminal justice processes and act as a first point of contact for victims contacting Gwent Police about an ongoing investigation.
