A social service organization in the UK is seeking a qualified Psychologist (Clinical or Forensic) for a remote role with in-person team days in Cardiff. The role involves overseeing a team of Assistant Psychologists, providing clinical assessments and intervention for clients with complex needs. Candidates should have HCPC registration and experience in psychological treatment. An opportunity has arisen for a Psychologist (Clinical or Forensic) to work closely with the Director of Community, the MHTR Service Managers and the wider Community Management Team.
The successful candidate will support the Wales Mental Health Treatment Requirement service that helps people who have low level mental health difficulties that are linked with the commission of offences.
You will support and develop the work of our team of Assistant Psychologists (APs) through clinical supervision and guidance. Providing clinical oversight, to assessments and interventions as part of a central qualified psychology team.
You will also carry a small caseload of clinical work consisting of therapeutic work with the more complex clients including assessments.
Your assistance will help us as we establish working relationships with health services across Wales as we establish a strong and innovative solution to a longstanding social need. You will also help gather, analyse and report on data for a range of audiences.
Regular individual and group supervision is provided as a key part of the role. Developmental opportunities within the organisation are available.
