A leading provider of genetic diagnostics in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Scientist specializing in Molecular Diagnostics. The successful candidate will work on product development projects, improving diagnostic products for customer needs. Applicants should have industry experience in commercial product development, preferably with IVD molecular biology products. A PhD or MSc in Genomics/Molecular Biology is required, along with familiarity with NGS workflows and regulatory standards like ISO13485. Our client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experienced NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.
The role:
- Work on product development projects supporting the improvement of new diagnostic products to support customer needs.
- Offer a solution‑lead approach to overcoming technical challenges.
- Defining and undertaking experiments to support product development.
- Interpretation and analysis of results.
- Ensuring compliance and quality standards are maintained.
Suitable applicants:
- Industry experience in commercial product development with IVD molecular biology products.
- Proven experience conducting commercial R&D projects, outlining project scope and deliverables.
- Educated to PhD or MSc in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working to ISO13485 and ISO 9001.
- Prior experience with NGS workflows and different sequencing technology.
