Closing date: Midnight Sunday 4 th January 2026

Interview date: To be confirmed

Ada Lovelace High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Accounting Teacher to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the second year of delivering the Accounting T-Level, a course that has already become highly popular with students from both our own school and other schools across the area.

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School, one of four schools in the Twyford CE Academies Trust, is a new seven-form-entry secondary school for pupils aged 11‑18 in Ealing, West London. The school has an excellent reputation and is rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted (March 23). Please find the attached Ofsted report here: https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/23/145724

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to delivering an outstanding curriculum that inspires and challenges students. While the T‑Level programme has been successfully established at Ada Lovelace for several years, Accounting is a newer specialism moving into its second year. This role provides the chance to help shape and grow a thriving course that prepares students for careers in finance, business, and beyond.

Our students are ambitious and engaged, and the popularity of Accounting reflects the demand for high‑quality pathways. As part of our Sixth Form provision, the post‑holder will play a key role in ensuring excellent outcomes and supporting students to achieve their aspirations.

Candidates wishing to find out more about the schools and the curriculum coverage should visit the school websites or contact the HR team to arrange to speak to a member of our Accounting Team. Visits to specific school sites are also available on request for candidates applying ahead of the deadline.

We offer:

  • Exceptional professional development and career progression
  • Positive working relationships at all levels
  • Opportunity to gain experience within four different Trust schools with a common commitment to professional collaboration

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to teach Accounting T‑Level
  • Knowledge of the requirements of the National Curriculum
  • An understanding of recent curriculum/learning developments
  • An understanding of the strategies required to motivate and enthuse all students across the ability range as part of a whole school approach to raising achievement
  • An understanding of the processes and techniques required to assess, record and report students’ learning effectively
  • Ability to be reflective and driven towards self‑improvement
  • A commitment to the ethos of the school

The school reserves the right to research shortlisted candidates on social media platforms and the internet, and the recruitment panel may take this information into consideration during the recruitment process.

The Twyford Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undergo the child protection screening appropriate to the post, including an enhanced disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and references from previous employers. For more information about the DBS please see https://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check. The post‑holder will also be expected to read and adhere to the Trust’s Child Protection Policy, and any other Safeguarding documents stated within this.

The Twyford Church of England Academy Trust is committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce which represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of Global Majority Heritage/United Kingdom Minority Ethnic (GMH/UKME) and disabled people are currently under‑represented among our staff, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase this representation.

About You
About the school

Ada Lovelace CE High School

Ada Lovelace Church of England High School is the newest school in the Twyford CE Academies Trust having moved into its brand‑new permanent site in north Ealing in September 2020. The school has now reached full capacity, educating just over 1090 students across years 7 to 13. Ada Lovelace is named after the Victorian pioneer of computing and has a specialism in Digital Technologies which has led to the launch of T‑levels at the school in Digital Production, Design and Development, Laboratory Science and Accounting. Being part of the top‑performing Multi‑Academies Trust in the UK has enabled Ada Lovelace to achieve outstanding GCSE results with progress measures at GCSE which have consistently placed it in the top 1% of schools nationally. Whilst the school has a strong Christian ethos, its admissions policy is open rather than faith‑based and the school is heavily oversubscribed. It is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (January 2023) and was very successful in its SIAMS inspection (2025). More information can be found on the school website: https://adalovelace.org.uk/

The admissions policy for each Trust school includes criterion for ‘Children of all staff’ places for Year 7 entry.

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a compact Church of England multi‑academy Trust which comprises four schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable an existing School, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. Over a 10 year period it launched three new schools Ada Lovelace, Ealing Fields and William Perkin all of which have achieved progress outcomes ranking them in the top 5% of schools nationally, making TCEAT the highest attaining Trust in the UK for student progress by Year 11. TCEAT aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting and embraces the Twyford School motto ‘Life in all its fullness’, encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), the TCEAT operates on collaborative principles with some central services to achieve consistency of provision. The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum which has been devised by staff within the four schools. The Trust is also the hub of Teach West London and prides itself on high quality, peer‑led CPD within a dynamic culture of self‑improvement.
