Job description

The working hours for this role are expected to be Monday to Friday, 15:00 - 17:45. The start date for this role is Monday, 2nd February 2026. This role is Fixed-Term until 31/08/2026.

River Mead School is seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic Wrap Around Care Lead Teacher Assistant. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day‑to‑day organisation of Wrap Around Care provision.
• Provide high standards of care and play opportunities for children.
• Develop opportunities which encourage children's social, physical, intellectual, creative and emotional development through play.
• Maintain a safe, secure and stimulating play environment.
• Report any safeguarding concerns to the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) at the earliest opportunity.
