Teaching Assistant – Warden Park Primary Academy

Start date: ASAP

Hours: 30 hours per week (including 2.5 hours of midday meals supervision)

Term: Term time only, permanent

Salary: Support grade C £24,796- £25,185 fte pro rata (actual starting salary £16,810.93- £17,074.66)

Job Overview: Warden Park Primary Academy is committed to providing high quality learning for all children and wishes to appoint a Teaching Assistant. The post is for 30 hours per week, including 2 hours of midday meal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Have experience working with groups of children in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Support pupils to access the curriculum within a mainstream class
  • Deliver intervention programmes to groups of children
  • Maintain an optimistic attitude and adapt to the demands of the job
  • Demonstrate versatility, tact, commitment, and initiative
  • Stay calm, listen, and value children’s views
  • Work as part of a team and contribute to its development
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Possess good basic literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE level or above, and excellent oral and written communication
  • Have experience with behaviour management techniques
