Job summary

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years practice experience, including 3 years in General Dental Practice.
  • Previous advisory roles and experience in primary care policy development.
  • Current or recent hands-on clinical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and support on General Dental Practice matters.
  • Work with dental practitioners on inspections and quality assurance.
  • Liaise with Health Board and other organisations regarding dental services.

Skills

Communication, listening and mentoring skills
Diplomacy, sensitivity and organisational skills
Computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word)
Able to motivate professional colleagues

Education

Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent
Full registration with the General Dental Council
Included on the Dental Performers List in Wales
Evidence of meeting GDC Continuing Professional Development requirements
Additional postgraduate qualifications appropriate to primary dental care
