Job description

Finn Lough is a 75-acre private peninsula in the Fermanagh lakelands, but more importantly, it is setting the standard in Regenerative Tourism. We have moved away from the traditional, high-impact model of hospitality to create something "Wildly Refined" – a sanctuary where the guest experience is intrinsic to the landscape rather than an imposition upon it.

Our peninsula is a curated ecosystem designed for reconnection. It begins with our iconic Forest Bubble Domes and lakeside architectural retreats that dissolve the walls between guests and the wild. This connection is deepened through the Elements Spa Trail, a private woodland journey of heat, cold, and salt that reimagines wellness through the lens of the elements.

Sustainability at Finn Lough isn't a policy; it’s our pulse. It is found in our Kitchen Gardens and Polytunnels, where we produce the seasonal harvests that fuel our "slow-food" culinary experiences, and in the way we invite guests to engage with the water - whether through wild swimming, kayaking, or quiet shoreline reflection. From vintage cinema nights to bespoke brand activations under the forest canopy, we offer a personal, refined, and deeply authentic version of Irish hospitality.

As we conclude our major development phase, we are looking for a Head of Commercial who doesn't just see a resort, but a world-class brand ready for its next stage of global evolution.

The Opportunity

Finn Lough is seeking a commercially astute, brand-led leader to join our senior team. As Head of Commercial, you will work closely with the owners to translate the long-term vision into a clear, executable commercial strategy and lead the team responsible for delivering it.

This role exists to bring focus, structure and leadership across sales, marketing, revenue and events - ensuring the commercial function is aligned and delivering consistently against the business’s growth ambitions.

Core Responsibilities
Strategic Commercial Leadership & Performance
  • Develop and execute an annual Commercial Plan aligned to revenue growth, occupancy, and profitability targets.
  • Hold accountability for commercial performance and return on commercial investment, working closely with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Translate owner-led vision into clear quarterly and monthly commercial priorities, ensuring focus, pace, and accountability across the function.
Sales, Marketing & Channel Strategy
  • Own the overall commercial growth strategy across sales, marketing, distribution, and partnerships.
  • Ensure all acquisition channels (direct, OTA, partnerships, events) are optimised for profitability, brand integrity, and long-term growth
  • Provide strategic commercial direction for Finn Lough’s events programme, ensuring events are brand-aligned, commercially viable, and integrated into the wider sales and marketing strategy
  • Provide clear strategic direction for digital growth (SEO, paid media, social funnels), ensuring performance is commercially effective
  • Optimise channel mix (Direct vs OTA) to improve margin and demand quality.
  • Work with the Revenue / Reservations function to improve conversion, yield, forecasting inputs, and Average Length of Stay.
  • Identify and prioritise new market opportunities, including North America and Europe, aligned with brand positioning and capacity.
Partnerships & External Relationships
  • Act as senior commercial liaison with Tourism NI, Tourism Ireland, and key industry bodies.
  • Secure and oversee high-value relationships with DMCs, corporate clients, and luxury event partners.
  • Ensure all partnerships align with the Finn Lough brand, sustainability ethos, and long-term commercial goals.
Leadership & Capability Development
  • Lead, develop, and performance-manage a multidisciplinary commercial team (Sales, Marketing, Revenue/Reservations, Events).
  • Shape team capability through mentoring, coaching, upskilling, and targeted development where required.
  • Create a culture of accountability, clarity, and collaboration, with clear handovers between commercial disciplines.
Candidate Profile
Seniority & Experience
  • 5+ years in a senior commercial or growth-focused leadership role within high-end hospitality, tourism, or brand-led environments.
  • Proven experience contributing to, or leading through, a significant revenue growth phase using a multi-channel commercial strategy.
Commercial & Digital Literacy
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess ROI across sales, marketing, and distribution channels.
  • Confident working with CRM systems, PMS platforms, and digital performance reporting (Google Analytics/Tag Manager), with the ability to direct execution
Brand & Ethos Alignment
  • Deep alignment with sustainability, regenerative tourism, and brand-led growth.
  • Understands that “luxury” at Finn Lough is defined by nature and silence, not marble and gold.
Communication & Influence
  • An assured communicator and negotiator, comfortable representing the brand with senior partners, agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Able to work collaboratively with founders while providing clear commercial leadership and direction.
