As the largest provider of A-levels in Bristol, the College educates over 2,200 students and plays a vital role in promoting academic excellence, social justice, and opportunity across the region.
Rooted in Catholic social teaching, St Brendan’s is a high-achieving and inclusive college, committed to transforming life chances for young people. With strong financial health and growing student numbers, the College is navigating a dynamic post-16 landscape with a focus on quality, innovation, and strategic growth.
The Board is recruiting to the following roles:
Vice-Chair of the Governing Body – to support leadership succession and strategic direction. This role requires a practising Catholic with senior experience in areas such as strategy, governance, education, HR, or community leadership. The Vice-Chair will support the Chair and senior leaders in shaping long-term priorities and championing the College’s mission.
Finance Governor – to strengthen oversight of financial strategy and sustainability. The Board seeks a practising Catholic with expertise in finance, accountancy, audit, or business planning to support key decisions during a period of growth and development.
