Bloomberg’s Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS) and derivatives data and valuation services (BVAL OTC) offer a comprehensive suite of risk management tools that deliver consistent, consolidated results across a client’s entire firm. Powered by Bloomberg’s world-class pricing library, market data, and mortgage cash flow engine, MARS—together with BVAL OTC—enables front-office, risk, middle-office, collateral managers, and other financial professionals to analyse trading and investment portfolios, manage and mitigate exposure, and prepare for a wide range of market conditions.

What’s the role?

The Risk Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new revenue and leading the sales process for Bloomberg’s MARS and derivatives data and valuation (BVAL OTC) solutions for sell-side clients, ranging from small regional organisations to large global banks.

As a key member of the team, you will build, run, and convert sales pipelines into revenue, develop strong relationships with senior decision-makers, and support brand awareness initiatives both internally and externally. You will also provide actionable market and client feedback to management to help shape strategy and product development.

We will trust you to:

  • Apply your strong product knowledge, technical skills, and market knowledge to generate revenue for Sell-side Risk and valuation
  • Establish and implement a pipeline building strategy for your target market
  • Balance multiple engagements across the sales lifecycle to achieve targets each quarter
  • Lead sell-side multi-products enterprise sales engagements in close collaboration with our OMS franchise TOMS
  • Engage with customers using a consultative approach to identify workflow gaps within the Sell-side value chain, and collaborate closely with pre-sales specialists
  • Articulate the features and benefits of the products in detail, so that you can act as a partner for your customers
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of regional business and competitor's landscape
  • Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate, and address client needs
  • Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals
  • Seek out additional ways to make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancement

You'll need to have:

  • Experience in financial services technology solutions sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets
  • Demonstrable experience working with derivative products, gained from experiences as either a market participant, technology solutions support specialist or sales specialist
  • Confirmed work experiences advising or adhering to regulatory requirements, with strong understanding of sell-side and risk management workflows and concepts such as, Credit Risk, Market Risk, XVA, VAR etc.
  • Consultative sales approach and experience building relationships with senior level customers
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with other teams internally
  • Recent experience of selling derivative risk solutions, either with a vendor or as a market practitioner
  • Exemplary presentation, training and communication skills in English
  • The ability for regular travel
