Overview

Advice, Charity, Charity & Volunteering Support, Community, Social Welfare

We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people focused individual to join our Support Group as a Development Team Support Officer.

This role will suit someone who enjoys coordinating projects, building strong working relationships, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be the kind of person who takes pride in accuracy, communicates clearly, and thrives in a busy environment where no two days are the same.

If you enjoy helping others, have great attention to detail, and want to support work that strengthens voluntary organisations across Wales, this could be the ideal role for you.

Why work at WCVA

Our staff benefits include 25 days paid holiday plus 8 bank holidays and 5 additional discretionary days, Personal Pension Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, enhanced sick pay scheme, agile working and healthcare cash plan.

We are an organisation that embraces diversity, with excellent work life balance policies, where flexible working is promoted, and our culture is to nurture staff through effective leadership and excellent team working.

WCVA invests in its employees and their development. As well as being a Living Wage Employer, committed to paying staff the real living wage, WCVA has been awarded Investors in People accreditation.

Full time, 35 hours per week, flexibly

£27,101 increasing to £32,323 per annum

WCVA provides a contribution of 9% of your annual salary to its approved pension scheme.

Base and flexibility: At WCVA, we embrace hybrid and flexible working. With staff working flexibly across Wales, you\'ll have the option to work remotely (including from home) or at our office hubs located in Aberystwyth and Cardiff, and across North Wales hiring small community spaces to bring staff together. There are no mandated office days beyond key meetings and specific team requirements.

About the role

As our Development Team Support Officer, you will provide vital administrative, coordination and monitoring support across our volunteering, sustainable resources, and governance functions, with links to digital and safeguarding work.

You’ll act as a key point of contact for enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring queries are recorded, responded to or directed appropriately. You will support the delivery of meetings, events, training sessions and webinars, helping colleagues to plan, organise and deliver high quality activities.

The role also includes maintaining accurate data on our CRM system, supporting communications and content publishing, and assisting with the smooth running of our TSSW digital platforms, including Volunteering Wales, Funding Wales and the Knowledge Hub.

This is an opportunity to contribute to work that enables voluntary organisations in Wales to make a bigger difference, while developing your skills across administration, coordination, digital systems and stakeholder support.

Applications submitted in the medium of Welsh are welcomed and will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
